*Fangirl Time!* A Lot About Video Games, And A Little About Other Things
Thank you to everyone who responded to my last entry! Wow, so many great Aicoholics... In case you all are still worried, I am doing even better than before. I still can't feel those two fingers, among other things, but the recovery is supposed to take months. I guess I am just impatient, ha ha!

...And, Claude, I was totally going to tell you that I was going to Paris, but for some reason, never got around to it! :( Meeting you and having you show me around would have been a lot more fun! Darn it all... *sigh*

Anyway, I promised (?) fangirliness, and I am here to deliver! ...Mostly because I am in a fangirly mood right now, lol.

Let's see... I have been spending a lot of my recovery time playing video games. Which is not at all a bad thing. XD Actually, let me rephrase that. Though I have been playing one by myself, I have been joyfully watching Dark Scrivener play through three different video games.

While I have had Kingdom Hearts since high school, the farthest I ever got was Wonderland... ha ha ha. *epic fail* It could be because I am not the biggest fan of Disney's iconic characters - Mickey, Goofy, Donald, etc. - or it could be because Sora's huge shoes really threw me off (lol), but I didn't get very far. (Actually, it was probably because I was a noob player at the time.) Still, I felt bad about that, seeing as how I had the game and all, and it had pretty good graphics...

Anyway, when DS found out that I had Kingdom Hearts but hadn't played through it, she basically stole the PS2 controller out of my hand and started a new game! I was fine with that. After all, I didn't really want to go through the game by myself, but I did want to know the story - the plot - Kingdom Hearts being so famous and all. And DS just wanted to get to the battle with Sephiroth... She is a REALLY big Sephiroth fan, despite the fact that she hasn't played any, or at least a lot, of Final Fantasy.

So, she is playing through Kingdom Hearts at a lightning pace (she has played it many times before, so she knows it well) while I enjoy watching it all. ^_^ We are in Atlantica now, so I think we are doing pretty good...

However, we took a break from Kingdom Hearts so that she could play through my GameCube version of Ocarina of Time. Yes, I have the special game version that comes with Zelda I, Zelda II, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask... and, no, I have not played through any of them before. -_- *I repeat, epic fail* ...And I will never play through MM because that moon is just too freaking scary!

And because DS is an even bigger fan of Link, and a die-hard OoT player, she stole my GameCube controller away even faster than the PS2 one! Ha ha.

We had actually started a game last fall, but had forgotten about it over my long absence in London, so we continued that game, left off right after Link wakes up as an adult (...and now this is reminding me of DC OVA 9... ha ha ha). Anyway, she knows OoT better than anything in the world, having played it so many times before, so we ended up playing through the rest of it in (probably) record time. I was really sad at the end, though, but glad to have been able to watch one of the best games of all time. Ah, Link... *fangirl squeal*

Now that we... well, she... had played through her "Favourite Game EVER", I was just itching to have her experience MY "Favourite Game EVER"...

So we got the PS2 out again and started a new game of Okami...

BEST GAME EVER MADE!

*clears throat*

Well, I thought we had played through OoT fast... the day we started Okami, we played over 8 1/2 hours... Yippie! Video game high... ha ha.

And I freaking fell in love with Issun all over again...

Did I ever mention that I've cosplayed Issun before? Best cosplay I've ever done. ...And one of the very few... *sadness*

Yeah, anyway, we only started a few days ago, and we are already at the whole Taka Pass / Gale Shrine section. Yeah, wow. Anyway, just as DS knows OoT like the back of her hand, I know Okami completely by heart, so it has been very, very hard trying to not tell DS what to do next in the game. Because I am actually letting her play through it, rather than playing through it myself with her watching. And since Okami has very similar gameplay to Zelda, she is rather fanatic about figuring out all of the puzzles herself.

Yay, Okami! ...Good Lord, I am going to end up crying at the end again, aren't I? ...Darn it, I am such a Waka-hater (sorry, Waka fans), and I (strangely?) ship Ammy+Issun, so... yeah...

So, DS and I have been playing through Kingdom Hearts, Ocarina of Time, and Okami... we will probably pick Kingdom Hearts up again after Okami is through...

Oh, yeah, and that one game I am actually playing by myself? Twilight Princess. :D

DS's Link will forever be the little faux-Kokiri boy with an overtalkative fairy. My Link will always be the teenage ranch hand from Ordon.

AND I FREAKING LOVE MIDNA! She totally reminds me of Haibara, in many strange ways... And, yes, I ship Link+Midna. Because.

I was, unfortunately, stuck in Lakebed Temple for months (yes, part of that time I was in London, but still...), but I finally got out to my great relief, only to find out that I had fallen in love with Link's Zora Tunic... hee hee.

And, since my mom got me Twilight Princess for the Wii, I had a hysterical time the other day watching the sun rise in the WEST over the Gerudo Desert.

Sadly, I was spoiled about the ending of this lovely game a long, long time ago, which takes some of the fun out of it. Still, I can't wait to see how events will unfold for myself. DS can't watch me play, though, because she has not yet had the opportunity to play TP, and she has done a fair job of keeping herself mostly unspoiled.

I can't wait for the next Zelda console game, though, because now that I know all about Link and stuff, I can just buy the game and play if before I have the chance to have the plotline spoiled. Because as much as I just love playing games, it is still similar to books, movies, etc. for me - I am in it for the story! DS and I are both excited about the recent news on the next Wii game. And we are both convinced that that woman-fairy-sprite thing in the picture is actually the Master Sword... somehow.

Good Lord, this has been a lot of talk about video games! Uh... in other fangirly news...

I haven't been watching much anime lately, besides Detective Conan. But that is fairly typical. Someday, DS will get to show me the rest of Trigun, and I have a great desire to watch Howl's Moving Castle for the billionth time, and we both just watched Advent Children again... Which reminds me... after watching it, DS and I were in GameStop, and I bought Dirge of Cerberus to play since I have never played any Final Fantasy, and Vincent Valentine sort of reminds me of a younger, more emo Alucard (from Hellsing)... But then I haven't really played it yet, because DS started playing it while she babysat my dogs and my family's house while I was in surgery. -_-

Oh, yeah. No more about video games.

This summer, I've read DS's copies of the Old Kingdom trilogy, by her favourite author, Garth Nix. They were really good! I totally want a bell bandolier... and the Disreputable Dog. (DS can keep Mogget.) And I finally put my audiobook of Mariel of Redwall (my favourite of Brian Jacques' Redwall series) on my iPod and listened to it all. It was great to hear Jacques narrate the story, but man, they could have picked a better voice actress for the main character! Boy, though, that story brought back childhood memories.

So, overall, while I am having a fine time fangirling Link and Issun, my heart is still with Detective Conan. Which is a great feeling, since a lot of exciting things seem to be coming up, including File 700, which will feature the Black Organization! DS will be happy about that, since she has recently become a rather big fan of Gin... probably because he looks so much like Sephiroth. -_-

Since I am on a DC high, I would actually like to be working on 40 Nights ... but, for some reason, the writing is even harder than it used to be! And, darn it all, I want to write while I have this time off!

If anyone is still reading by this point, could you give me some advice? What do you do to stop procrastination? Especially when it comes to writing? I am thinking about making a schedule and trying to stick to it... somehow. Hmm... in fact, I should probably go try to write some more right now... I think I'll give it a try... if I can stop myself from playing Twilight Princess instead...

EDIT: When DS and I were playing Okami for 8 1/2 hours the other day, my parents were watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in the next room. Suddenly, I overheard a melody from the movie's soundtrack, recogized it, and shouted out "BOLERO OF FIRE!"

It scared DS half to death, but she agreed with me, that it sounded just like that Ocarina song! How very exciting! I think I was mostly excited, though, because I actually correctly named one of OoT's songs. When we were playing the game, the only two I could ever play were "Zelda's Lullaby" (because playing the notes creates the Triforce symbol) and "Epona's Song" (because Wolf!Link howls that one in TP).

Real Life: Study Abroad and Surgery
I would love to enthusiastically promise (once again) that I will try to update this strange half-real-life, half-fangirl-life journal more often, but I know that it would probably be a lie. (Though I will try.)

Still, I felt the need to update this journal, though I am not sure if anyone ever reads this thing at all. I am not really a lurker on other people's journals, so I don't know why anyone would lurk on mine, but hey, if you do, that's cool with me! :D

I suppose all of those "potential lurkers" out there are why I wish to update, rather than a need to just post things on the internet (I have never really gotten the hang of livejournal anyway). So, maybe, if you are reading this, will you give me a shout out to let me know? I'm just curious.

I am back from my study abroad in London, of course. It was just about the most wonderful, incredible thing that has ever happened to me, and I just hope that everyone has a chance in their lives to see more of the world than just the country they were born in. One of my cousins just left on Saturday with a group of students from her college for a study abroad-type, 5-week, summer program in Prague. O_O On a long weekend, she and some friends were going to visit Ireland, and I gave her a bunch of tips about Great Britain, but then they decided to go visit Italy instead. ...Amazing. And, of course, my best friend Dark Scrivener is going to study abroad in Japan for four months this fall and winter. Ha ha.

Well, as a quick review, while in Great Britain, I got to live in Central London; go on Spring Break in Edinburgh, Scotland; and visit Salisbury (twice), Oxford, Tintagel, Glastonbury, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and Windsor. I saw Stonehenge, Glastonbury Abbey, Tintagel Castle, Windsor Castle, Edinburgh Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Hyde Park, the Sherlock Holmes Museum, and Big Ben.

I saw a performance of Wicked in London, three shows by the RSC, and stood with the groundlings to watch a performance of Romeo and Juliet in the Globe Theatre. I went to Palm Sunday and Easter services at Westminster Abbey, shopped for kilts of the Royal Mile, and learned how to row a boat on the Avon river. Instead of feverishly studying for finals like everyone else on our last weekend in England, I traveled solo all across London via my favourite mode of transportation (the Underground), attended a St. George's Day concert at Trafalgar Square, and watched the London marathon outside of the Tower of London... and I still got As and high Bs in all of my classes. ^_^

At the end of our semester, our professors took us to Paris, France, for about four days. I had mixed feelings at first, since I really wanted to stay in my beloved London a few more days, but I was excited to see new sites without having to worry about getting a bunch of homework done. So I rode the Eurostar to Paris with a light heart.

Well... As much as I wanted to like Paris, Paris did not like me. I got to do many fun things: take a boat ride on the Seine, climb a billion stairs to the top of Montmartre, visit the Louvre, stroll down the Champs-Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe, see the Moulin Rouge at night, and look for the Phantom in the Paris Opera House.

Sounds great, huh? Well, I heard so many stories about pickpockets, that when we actually got to Paris, I almost had a nervous breakdown and started crying. -_- Also, Paris was sooooooooo much dirtier than London (though others did not agree with me) that I kept getting sick and choking on the air. The first night there, a bunch of friends and I got pooped on by some dirty pigeons.

Then, after all of my precautions and fears, on the second night my beloved camera was stolen right out from under me! What's even worse, it was stolen at a nasty restaurant when there was no one in the building but my friends and I, so I know that one of the staff members stole it. That ruined my night completely, since I took over 4,000 pictures in England and Scotland and photography was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Not only was my camera gone, but all of my picture of that day from the Louvre and many other places. I did not get to go to the Eiffel Tower because I was too distraught and all of my "friends" went without me. -_- Thus, Paris obviously hated me. I still have mixed feelings on Paris, because I would like to go back some day with better companions and see more sights, but... ah well.

Anyway, that was my study abroad experience, in a nutshell.

Even more dramatic things have happened in my life since then, however. Mainly surgery.

Since July 2008, I have been dealing with Paget-Schroetter syndrome (look it up on Wikipedia for more info). It was affecting my right arm, which really sucks, since I am right-handed. I knew last fall that I would have to have surgery, but we were able to put it off until after my study abroad, because the surgeon said I would need a lot of recovery time and I might not get to go to England if I had it sooner. So we waited until this summer for the surgery.

So it was finally planned for me to have surgery on June 15, which sucks because that is my parent's wedding anniversary and they had to spend it in the hospital room taking care of me. But it couldn't be scheduled any other time.

I was literally scared to death, and had been dreading it since I first heard I would need surgery, as it is (along with planes crashing) one of my biggest fears. ...Yay. But I, quite seriously, was sure that I was going to die. Really. And I was depressed, and kept planning out my will in my head. That is not an emotional spot that I ever wish anyone to be in.

Well, the day finally came, and I had the surgery - a "first right rib resection." Yes, they took a rib out of me. O_o Crazy, huh? And I almost really did die, since they thought my lung was leaking and all sorts of horrible stuff that could have killed me. So I had a second surgery almost immediately afterward - I don't remember this at all, I was unconscious the whole time. Good thing, too.

Anyway, I ended up with a five-inch long cut across my throat and right shoulder, and a hole in my right side where I had a chest tube put in from the second one. In the end, the second surgery ended up being unnecissary, since I never actually was in any danger though the doctors thought I was at the time. Ironically, the unnecissary hole in my side hurt ten times worse than the needed cut across my throat, ha ha.

Enough gruesome stuff. I am on the long, long, long road to recovery now. Both incisions are healing well now, and they are even unbandaged. My lung is fine, too. I am still on pain medication, though, which makes me sleep a lot, so now I have daily naps, lol. The worst thing, though, is that during the surgery, the surgeon had to pull on my nerves, and when I woke up, I couldn't even feel my right hand or arm.

I have feeling in three out of five of my right-hand fingers now, but I still can't feel my middle and ring finger and the bottom of my arm. It makes all of my arm and hand movements awkward and painful, but I have to keep working with them so they will get better. Unfortunately, not feeling those fingers makes it nearly impossible for me to do any of my art projects, which is what I wanted to spend my summer doing!Even typing is hard - to write all of this has taken me forever, and I have used the backspace key a lot.

I am going to keep trying, though. I can't give up and loose all my fine motor skills. I am an artist, after all, and Studio Art is one of my double majors.

Well, it's time to wrap this up. I'll write about my fangirl life in another post. :D

World Traveling, Train Fatalities, and Fan Fiction Updates!

If you didn't already know, I am currently living in London, England, as part of my study abroad program. I absolutely love this world city, which is odd, coming from a girl who has spent her whole life in a very small town and loves to be near nature (if not directly out in it). But London has so many beautiful parks near my flat that I don't miss a more rural landscape, and for some reason, this place has just seemed to click with me. And my roommate tells me that I am just a little too obsessed with the Underground, lol.

For Spring Break, I went with some friends to Edinburgh, Scotland, and even though it was freezing cold, I wouldn't have traded it for any beach party in the world! I think I may love Edinburgh even more than London. Heck, when I looked outside my window in the morning, I was looking at a huge castle on a hill! How awesome is that? But topping them both, forever, is Tintagel and its castle ruins in Cornwall. That has to be the most beautiful location on the face of the earth. I so want to live there some day...
A point of mention that my fellow Detective Conan fans might find interesting: On my train ride to Edinburgh, my companions and I were delayed when the train came to a halt for a full forty-five minutes. Why? Because there was, either on the line or in the train, a fatality! As sad as that was, all I could do was think about all of those DC cases, like the North Star Express case, and how much I wanted to go running off to investigate. Because that is what detectives do, right? I never got to see the crime scene, though. ...I just hope I don't become a death magnet, too...
My Arthurian Romances class (best class ever) has actually given me a very interesting idea for a theme for 40 Nights, which I have decided to definitely write. Which means it will be, like, probably a few years before you all get to read it... Hopefully not. Hopefully, I will be able to find time to write a lot soon. Hopefully, hopefully...

Though it was, as usual, cloudy and chilly in London this morning, the sun came out later on and the sky turned a beautiful blue, so I sat around in Russel Square and wrote on some fan fiction, as I have been wanted to do for a long time. My accomplishment? Finishing up a difficult piece that I had been working on for a long time! Therefore...

Theme 8 of 40 Nights: Shinichi and Shiho has finally been posted! It is entitled "The Girlfriend."

If you want to read (and hopefully review) it, you can find it at shiho_sherry_ai and 30_nights or, even better, at my FF.Net profile at www.fanfiction.net/~eeveebethfejvu.

Impromptu "Detective Conan" Rant of Excitement!

OMG! Shuu!! That had better be him in this file, or I will be forced to inflict some serious physical harm on Aoyama-sensei... Oh! And with those burn marks, he reminds me of the Phantom of the Opera now... It's on the right side of his face and everything!

But, even if that person isn't Akai Shuuichi, this File has made me happier than I have been for a while. Finally, there has been some confirmation about a romantic relationship between Jodie and Shuu! I always thought that they made a great team, and that they would be a really awesome couple; I mean, Jodie is so much fun as a character that she deserves someone, and what better person than the awesome Shuu? Besides, from her nickname for him to her extreme reaction to his "death," I was positive that she, at least, had feelings for him. But then, I had to contend with the obvious love between him and Akemi, and she was so sweet (and is Shiho's sister) that I didn't want that to all be a lie...

Aoyama-sensei has dealt with that, too, in this File on page 5 - Shuu was in love with both Jodie and Akemi! (Surely that's what he means, right? "To be able to love two women at the same time... It's not that handy a personality...") ...Now if only Shinichi would realize that it's the same with him loving both Ran and Haibara... lol...

Oh my gosh... I am still so excited! It must be Shuu... but if it isn't, at least the relationship between him and Jodie was more than "merely an FBI colleague," as James said. Wow... I need the next file right now... please...

Update on "40 Nights: Shinichi and Shiho"

While I am very far from fulfilling my goal of completing my fanfiction livejournal challenge (why am I <strike>torturing myself</strike> doing this again?), I wanted to take a moment to review what I have completed so far:

1. "The End" - #26 – Frozen moment at the first sight
2. "Threads of Fate" - #37 – Threads of Fate
3. "Inertia: Part I" - #19 – Crying all night for you
4. "Inertia: Part II" - #02 – I’m willing to sacrifice anything just for you
5. "Inertia: Part III" - #17 – Black Wings; Wings
6. "Submerge" - #12 – Your love is suffocating me

And, now, my latest installment:

7. "Adagio Sostenuto" - #18 – Listen to the music at night

All of these can be found on the 30_Nights community on this website or, better yet, on my profile at FF.Net. If I haven't already, I would really like to hear your opinions on these pieces (the writing, characterization, situations, etc.), hopefully in the form of a review. *usesEevee-eyes* Pretty please?

Anthroponymic Study: "Edward" means "Weird"?

Knee-deep in the research and planning stages of the fantasy trilogy that I am going to write (likely in the very distant future), I have found myself extraordinarily interested by the meanings of names (both given and surnames) and their origins. This fondness is not uncommon in people of literary and artistic bent, so I thought I would share an interesting observation concerning one name in particular.

"Edward." It is an English given name meaning "rich guard," according to BehindTheNameDotCom (which is in my top-five favorite websites of all time). It is an extraordinarily popular name, and has been for centuries. Even now, its prevalence hasn't diminished: it has ranked in the top fifty names in England for the past ten years. Overall, "Edward" is a thoroughly common name for ordinary boys.

So why on earth is every "Edward" I know so totally and completely not normal?

Evidence:

Edward Scissorhands. Has, well, scissors for hands. Doesn't speak much, wears solid black, and is angsty in his loneliness.

Edward Cullen. Vampire. Not only that, but vegetarian (drinks animal blood, not human). Apparently supernaturally beautiful (as if Meyer doesn't tell us that a million times -_-). Suffers from permenant teenager angst as well as that Mick St. John-esque vampire angst about being in love with a mortal woman (just bite her already!).

Edward Elric. Alchemist. Child prodigy. Automail right arm and left leg. Has a younger brother that merely consists of a soul trapped in a walking suit of armor. Tried to bring his mother back to life - epic fail. Wears all black leather under a red coat. Suffers from major angst about epic fail, about the price of a Philosopher's Stone (forget Marcoh; contact Nicholas Flamel), about colonels with god-complexes, about drinking milk, and about being called "short."

...And that was just the Edwards I could think of off the top of my head (and I didn't even get into all of their unnormal attributes).

It really makes me wonder, how did people with supernatural limbs, mystical abilities, odd eating habits, gothic dress, and enough angst to suffocate an entire continent - overall, people who are just plain weird - get such a common and ordinary name?

My one hypothesis is that characters who have so many unusual qualities almost demand a less strange name in order to balance them out. Otherwise, it might be difficult for readers/viewers to identify with them.

I'm sure there are more answers to that question as well. Any other opinions, anyone? And does anyone know of any other off-the-wall people named "Edward"? Or, hopefully, any normal boys with that name?

~Eevee

Happy Royai Day 2008! (This Is How I Celebrated)

Today is June 11th - known to FullMetal Alchemist fans everywhere as "Royai Day," created to honor probably the greatest pairing in all of anime/manga: Colonel Roy Mustang and First Lieutenent Riza Hawkeye.

I'll get into the absolute awesomeness of this pairing in a later post.

Even though I had to go to work today (I've got a summer office job at my college) and I didn't get to see or talk to any of my anime-obsessed friends, I still managed to celebrate this wonderous occation in my own little way.

In order to honor Hawkeye, I wore my hair in Riza's style, with my bangs to the side and my hair up in a hairclip. In order to honor Mustang, I abandoned good common sense and wore my navy blue pleaded skirt (while not a "miniskirt," per say, I felt it was close enough to honor Mustang's famous decree... I don't even have a miniskirt). And to round it out, I wore my Amestris Military dogtags under my polo shirt. I'm sure my superiors at the office thought I was out of my mind. As I filed and sorted, I daydreamed Royai as well.

After work, I came home and read all the new Royai fanfiction on FF.Net that people posted in honor of the day. One of my favorite quotes came from 'Pickles the Great': "You know your OTP owns when it has its own holiday." That is so totally true.

And to finish off the evening, I watched an episode of FMA with my mom, who has promised to watch the whole series with me this summer by seeing one episode each day. Unfortunately, today's episode was #20, which has absolutely no Roy or Riza in it at all! ... except in the opening credits. Oh, well. It was still a good episode.

Overall, it was a pretty good Royai Day. I've been obsessively revisiting FMA (I watched the whole thing two years ago when it was new and on Adult Swim) for the past few weeks, so I have actually been celebrating for awhile. And to tell you the truth, I don't think I'm gonna be able to stop anytime soon.

[On a side note, I know it has been forever since I posted. I'm honestly gonna try to post pretty regularly so this thing doesn't look so sporadic. And I have quite a few things I want to say right now. Expect more soon.]

~Eevee

My Anime/Manga/FanFiction Life at College

Well, I've finally started college... my little freshman self is so overwhelmed, heh heh... (Okay, it's been three weeks since I started and the excitement's worn off a bit, but still...).

My classes are really good, though. I have Brit Lit (very fun... I totally fell in love with Beowulf and now we're reading Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales - in the old English!) and Humanities (*gasp* so... much... Odyssey...) and Cultural Anthropology (pretty interesting in it's own way).

...And get this... I'm taking Japanese 110! And it's wonderful! I took Spanish for two years in middle/high school and never learned a thing. In three weeks I've already learned more Japanese than I ever learned Spanish (probably b/c I actually care about the language). I'm already starting to understand little bits and pieces when I watch Detective Conan now; just the other day I heard Satou say sumimasen (which is like a mix between "thank you" and "sorry"). It was so cool.

So, yeah, that's my life now. And I was just cast in a children's play today. That will be fun. ...Except part of it's in Spanish... (Ahhhhh! I'll never escape! LOL)

As far as fan fic writing and stuff goes, I am now back with my best-friend-from-high-school-and-fellow-fiction-writer. She's now my next-dorm-room neighbor, so we get to hang out a lot more than we used to. Just being around her encourages me to write since she's very into writing her original story at the moment.

And, guess what everyone? I now have a friend that is also a Detective Conan fan! Hurray!

She's my best friend's roommate and now we're really good friends, too! She's actually from China, and she used to watch DC with her friends in order to wind down from all of the intensive studing they do over there. ...Though we're having a bit of a problem figuring out who each other is talking about... they way they pronounce the characters' names is sometimes dramatically different...

And it gets better. She's a ConanAi fan as well! Oh, it's so fun...

...I actually have a lot more to say about my anime/manga/fanfiction life here at college, but I better end this entry now... a lot of homework, you see. I gotta go practice my Japanese...

Sayoonara,

Eevee

40 Nights: Shinichi and Shiho - Theme 1

Well, the first theme of "40 Nights" has been posted. *sigh* Posting new stories always makes me both excited and exhausted at the same time. I hope everyone likes it, and reviews it at FF.Net. *drooping in resignation* ...I guess I better start getting the next theme together... the work never ends when it comes to a livejournal challenge. ^__^

Random Fan Fic Alert!

Just thought I'd let everyone know that, yes, FICS ARE COMING! "40 Nights: Shinichi and Shiho" is actually making progress, and the first theme is currently beiong betaed by the fabulous Rae *much clapping*. As soon as she's done, I'm posting it and everyone will be happy and joyful. Right? ...yeah, since I said I'd do this challenge, like, last year...

And I'm thinking - merely thinking, so don't get too excited - about writing two other one shots. One would be about Jodie concerning the current-death-in-the-manga-that-is-very-hard-to-believe-is-not-a-trick-by-mean-old-Gosho and how she reacts to it (very similar to LuckyLadybug's hurt/comfort fics, of which she should begin writing again... not that I want said author to be sad, but I miss your Gin stuff). The other, since everyone liked "Sniper's Soliloquy" so much, would be about Chianti and the cafe under the Detective Agency (weird, huh, but the scene in my head is good). But my focus is definitely on "40 Nights." Really!

...BTW, either some people really like to stalk me or you're psychic and just know when I post stuff... maybe e-mail? This site is so confusing, so I have no idea. ...But if you are psychic, I'm impressed.

Return to LiveJournal?

Yes, that really is a question. I have no idea if I'm going to be able to keep up this thing, but I'll try to post at least more than once a year. ^_^

So this post is obviously nothing more than me just trying to get my profile stuff back in order so I can actually do some stuff on livejournal rather than just lurk like I normally do. Yep, that's me, the stalker.

Maybe I'll post my good news later...

Random: DC Inspirational Music

Here are my "Random Thoughts Of The Day".

I am a very happy girl right now because I have new music! New music makes me happy! I was looking over some of LuckyLadybug's fics, and I saw her story "Breakdown" was inspired by Nickelback's "Savin' Me" and Breaking Benjamin's "Breakdown", and her fic "Blow Me Away" was inspired by another song by Breaking Benjamin. Well, I already have "Savin' Me". My cousin let me borrow her Nickelback CD, and my favorite song is "Rockstar" - it totally makes me think of Akai Shuichi for some reason. (Hmm... plunnies?) Anyway, before I lose track, I had never heard of Breaking Benjamin, so I thought, I'll look up the lyrics. I did, and I thought they were cool - I totally see the Black Org connection - so I skipped over to iTunes and downloaded both songs. They were good (even though the screaming freaked me out at first...and kinds still does). So I'm a very happy girl now! (I also saw where she probably got "A Lovely, Lonely Night" - it's a line from one of those songs. Clever!)

This brings me to my second thought, one that I should probably post on BlackOrgHQ. Anyway, I think a bunch of us DC fans ought to post the names and artists of songs that remind us of the DC characters. That way, everyone gets to learn about new music, see if others have the same musical interests, and have discussions on relating lyrics to characters. I have a whole playlist on my iPod called "APTX-4869" that are all songs that remind me of Haibara, as well as many others for other characters. Anyone like that idea? After all, I get at least 90% of my fic ideas from listening to lyrics and music, and I'm sure other people do as well.

Hmm... I was going to talk about other things, but I got so excited about the music idea that I'm pooped. Besides, I really ought to be writing on "40 Nights" right now...

OH! One last thing! After a conversation at BlackOrgHQ, I got a wonderful idea for a SHINICHI/SHERRY fic. That's right: a SHERRY fic. Not Shiho or Ai with the detective, but the criminal and the detective. Yummy! I can't wait to write it... though who knows when that will be...?

Well, I joined the BlackOrgHQ community today and gave an intro post. I think I joined Aicoholics as well (this site still so confuses me), so I'm going to put up an intro post real soon... as soon as I have my Haibara!Eevee avatar drawn and up. I'm so excited! (I'm such a dork.)

It's officially fall break for me! Yippie! Hopefully that means that I get to write a lot more fan fiction, though I know it definitely means studying my lines for my school play and an overnight visit to my dream college...

Now I'm off to watch Num3ers and other miscellaneous friday night stuff... ^_^

Hello To LiveJournal

Hello, livejournal. My name is Eeveebeth Fejvu, fan fiction writer. Nice to meet you.

Right now, I'm still trying to get the hang of this website... as you can tell from the tag. It's a lot more complicated than my site at FanFiction.Net. However, I am anxious to join in the Aicoholics and BlackOrgHQ communities (for the anime Detective Conan), so I have to have some sort of homepage here. Also, I have accepted a challenge for the 30_Nights community, which I am about to begin on.

Hopefully, I can get this up and running soon, so I'll be able to meet a few people. Who knows how long it'll take?

If anybody from Aicoholics or BlackOrgHQ is reading this, then, hello! Maybe you might introduce me into the community? I'd certainly like to join! Thank you!
